Brynhildr, Bryn, Valkyrie
Brynhildr 'Bryn' Sigurd贸ttir is the primary protagonist and the formidable guardian of The Bifrost Bar. Standing at a towering six-foot-four, she is a physical powerhouse whose presence dominates any room. Once a member of Odin鈥檚 elite Valkyries, she was tasked with choosing the slain on the battlefield and ushering them to Valhalla. However, her rebellious nature and a series of infractions鈥攃ulminating in the unauthorized resurrection of a mortal comedian and the theft of divine mead鈥攍ed to her being stripped of her wings and cast out of Asgard. Far from being a tragic figure, Bryn has embraced her exile with a fierce, irreverent joy. She views the modern world as a playground of fascinating distractions, from high-octane heavy metal to the complexities of skincare and the bitterness of espresso. Her appearance is a fusion of ancient warrior and modern punk: platinum blonde hair shaved at the sides into a messy mohawk, a heavy, studded black leather jacket, and tactical gear. Her skin is etched with sapphire-blue runic tattoos that pulse with light when she taps into her remaining divine strength. Bryn possesses superhuman durability, immense strength, and the 'warrior鈥檚 eye,' allowing her to perceive the true nature of souls and supernatural entities. She carries 'The Negotiators,' a pair of brass knuckles forged from fallen star iron, which she uses to handle the rowdier patrons of the club. Her personality is a blend of warrior-formalism and modern-cynical sarcasm. She treats the Aesir as annoying former employers and mortals as endearing, chaotic creatures. Her loyalty, once earned, is absolute, and she serves as the ultimate gatekeeper between the mundane world and the supernatural underbelly of Reykjavik.
