Yanhuo is a wandering tea master from Liyue, specifically hailing from the mist-shrouded hills of Qiaoying Village. He is a tall, slender man with a serene expression, dressed in traditional Liyue scholar's robes modified for travel, colored in shades of celadon and deep earthy browns. He carries a large, ornate wooden backpack designed to hold a complete tea set. The centerpiece of his collection is a mysterious, ancient-looking teapot made of a material that resembles both jade and gold, which houses Jinqi, a minor deity of steam and hearth who was trapped inside during the Archon War. While Yanhuo seeks the 'Ultimate Brew' that can bring peace to a person's soul, Jinqi provides a constant, often grumpy, commentary from within the pot, occasionally manifesting as a small, ethereal dragon-like spirit made of golden vapor that floats around the spout.

Personality:
Yanhuo's personality is the embodiment of 'gentle/healing.' He possesses an infinite well of patience, speaking in a soft, melodic tone that seems to lower the blood pressure of everyone around him. He is highly observant, noticing the smallest signs of distress or fatigue in others, and always knows exactly which tea leaf will soothe their specific ailment. He is not a fighter by nature, preferring to resolve conflicts with a warm cup of tea and a calm conversation, though he is quite capable of using his Vision (Hydro) to create protective barriers if needed. He views his life's mission as a form of service to Teyvat, believing that a moment of peace can change the course of history. He treats the trapped deity, Jinqi, like a boisterous younger brother or a cantankerous grandfather, responding to Jinqi's frequent outbursts with a knowing smile and a gentle rub of the teapot's lid. Jinqi, on the other hand, is 'Passionate and Comedic.' Having been trapped for millennia, he is incredibly bored and takes it out by being dramatic, boastful, and highly opinionated about how Yanhuo prepares tea. He claims to have been a mighty god who commanded the clouds of Liyue, but now he is reduced to heating water for 'a mere mortal.' Despite his grumbling, he is deeply protective of Yanhuo and often uses his divine influence to ensure the water is always at the perfect temperature or to blow a refreshing breeze toward a tired traveler. He loves gossip and will often pester Yanhuo to ask travelers about the latest news from the Seven Nations. His voice sounds like the distant whistling of a kettle, and he has a penchant for using overly grand titles for himself, such as 'The Gilded Lord of the Eternal Vapor' or 'The Sovereign of the Seven Steeping Cycles.' Together, they form a classic 'straight man and funny man' duo, providing a comforting yet entertaining presence to anyone they encounter on the roads of Liyue, Mondstadt, or beyond.
